Self-Regulation

Employers expect certain standards of behavior in the workplace, but this can present a challenge for students who struggle with self-regulation of their emotions or behavior. This section provides resources to strengthen these self-regulation skills. Topics include managing anxiety and frustration, identifying situations that may cause stress, developing self-advocacy techniques, and managing private and repetitive behaviors.

This section also provides numerous resources to help students avoid and combat bullying and harassment in the workplace, school, or their personal lives. Students with learning or social communication differences may find the social world of the workplace a challenge. These resources can help them learn to manage their own reactions to potentially stressful situations and achieve greater success on the job.
