Workplace Hierarchies

Every workplace has its own culture. Successful employees are able to navigate the hierarchy of supervisors, co-workers, and customers. This section provides resources that will help the student identify the “unwritten rules” of their workplace, and to adapt their behavior accordingly. They will practice the often-difficult skills of following directions from others and handling mistakes and criticism. Regularly rehearsing these skills can help them avoid negative social situations and ensure they remain a valued team member and employee.
